Dancing is good for body and soul. Last night muchachachita, another friend, and I on the spur of the moment had a dance party in their living room. An hour+ of bliss, fun, and feeling alive. Why don't we dance more often? I love it and think it should become a weekly activity for all.

Now I feel really old. I have never heard of most of this music. Sigh.

Most of that music is old...perhaps I am older. Who's Elvis?

How does one dance to "Born in the U.S.A"? I picture the classic 80's swing-thing with the arms swaying, head down and the knees popping up but it would be in slow motion.

I have always felt too inhibited to dance. Perhaps it is not a case of inhibition. Maybe it just doesn't give me any bliss. I enjoy dancing with Scott sometimes, but that's about it.

Dancing to Born In The USA was basically exactly as you described! But a nice break from the frenetic dancing to all the other tunes. Whew!

Quite the mix! I definitely could use a good dance party - maybe we can rock out Wednesday at the Fine Line!

Let me preface this by saying the songs on this list are mostly great and I think muchachachita has good taste. I don't want to get too negative here, but I hate that "Cherry Bomb" song so much that when I hear it on the radio I actually get angry. It annoys me on so many levels. I could write an entire blog entry on why that song sucks. But I will not, since no one would want to hear it and apparently it is danceable.

I WAS THINKING OF A DIFFERENT SONG! Please disregard my comment. I love the runaways!
